Ways We Support You

I’m Dionne Miller, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I offer in-person sessions in the Spokane Valley and telehealth services to those residing in Washington State.

I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate life’s transitions, including relationship challenges, betrayal and affair recovery, intimacy and sexual concerns, menopause, anxiety, and major life changes. I offer individual, couples, and group therapy in a supportive, collaborative environment.

If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or have questions about what support might look like, please ask. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

  • Sometimes life feels heavy. Whether you're overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or navigating a major life change, you don’t have to do it alone.

At Family Ties Therapy, individual therapy offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to sort through what’s going on inside. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, pain points, and possibilities in your story—helping you build clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of self.

You deserve support that meets you where you are. Let’s take the next step, together.

  • Every relationship faces challenges—whether it’s communication breakdowns, parenting stress, shifts in desire or intimacy, changing roles, or simply growing apart over time. Couples therapy offers a place to slow down, listen differently, and begin to reconnect—emotionally and physically.

At Family Ties Therapy, I help couples understand each other more deeply, break unhelpful cycles, and build the skills needed to strengthen their bond across the different seasons of life. This includes support around sexual communication, intimacy concerns, and the ways stress, betrayal, health changes, or life transitions can impact your sexual connection.

Whether you're in crisis or just feeling distant, therapy can be a turning point—a space to rediscover what brought you together, rebuild trust, and create a path forward.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to begin—together.

  • Recovering from an affair requires more than forgiveness—it requires safety, accountability, and intentional repair. I offer specialized affair recovery therapy grounded in evidence-based models to help couples move through crisis and into healing. Therapy focuses on stabilizing intense emotions, addressing the impact of betrayal, rebuilding trust, improving communication, and restoring emotional and sexual connection. I support couples at every stage of the process, including discernment about whether and how to continue the relationship.

  • When a relationship feels stuck between staying and leaving, discernment counseling offers a compassionate space to pause and reflect. This process helps couples gain insight into the forces shaping their relationship and the options ahead. Through guided conversations and individual reflection, partners are supported in making a clear, intentional decision about the future—grounded in self-awareness rather than crisis or pressure.

  • The transition to parenthood can be joyful—and incredibly challenging. The Bringing Baby Home program helps expectant and new parents strengthen their relationship while adjusting to life with a baby. This evidence-based approach focuses on communication, emotional connection, conflict management, and maintaining intimacy during this major life transition. By supporting your partnership, you create a stronger foundation for your growing family.

  • Premarital counseling helps couples build a strong foundation before marriage. This process supports partners in deepening communication, understanding each other’s values and expectations, and learning skills to manage conflict and stress together. Premarital counseling isn’t about fixing problems—it’s about strengthening your relationship so you can enter marriage with clarity, confidence, and connection.
