About Family Ties Therapy

Welcome —
I'm Dionne.

I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s many transitions. Whether you’re entering a new relationship, becoming a parent, redefining your identity, recovering from betrayal, or facing the changes of an empty nest, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I also provide sexually informed couples therapy, supporting partners in navigating intimacy, desire differences, sexual communication, and the impact of life transitions, trauma, or betrayal on their sexual relationship. My approach creates a safe, respectful space where conversations about sex and connection can feel open, affirming, and grounded in trust.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer in-person therapy for those living in the Spokane Valley area and virtual services to clients across Washington state. I provide individual, couples, and group therapy using a compassionate, collaborative approach that honors each client’s unique story and goals.

My work is deeply informed by lived experience. I have been married for over 30 years and am mom to two adult children. My passion for supporting clients through life transitions comes from walking through my own seasons of marriage, parenting, caregiving for older family members, and personal growth. These experiences allow me to meet clients with empathy, perspective, and genuine understanding.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, animals, gardening, and tackling home improvement projects. These hands-on interests reflect my grounded, practical, and compassionate approach to therapy—helping clients create meaningful, sustainable change during times of uncertainty.
